The Apprentice is (nearly) upon us!

People of Earth, rejoice! The best programme on Earth is back.

NO, it’s not Keith Chegwin’s Naked Jungle on Channel 5- it’s THE APPRENTICE! Of course.

Yep, Sir Lord Alan of Sugarton will be back leading his motley flock of self-styled ‘hyperachievers’ a week tomorrow. I haven’t yet decided whether I’ll be here to monitor the nonsense-circus in liveblog form, as I might comment along to the Guardian liveblog instead- I’m a big fan of Queen Heidi Stephens and I wouldn’t like to miss her antics.

However, if you were all keen for a Ladyribenaberet-penned liveblog I wouldn’t want to disappoint. Please feel free to use the comment box to vote and let me know what you think I should do.

If you don’t: YER FIYUD.

    Yes please your Ribenaship

One vote for yes. Doubled to two due to the fact you called me ‘Your Ribenaship’. Well, perhaps I’ll do my own and also multitask and pop the odd comment or two on the Guardian site. Hell, I even could thricey-task and also do The Twitters at the same time if I was feeling particularly confident… but my fingers might fall off.

Look here pooface (it’s a term of endearment where I come from), if you don’t keep up your end I will be utterly disappointed with you. And life. And everything. And I shall set my equines upon you. Both of them, even the one temporarily with three legs. If I had a cat I would set that on you too. But I don’t. So instead I will set this half-eaten prawn-cocktail-flavoured Pringles sandwich on you. ¿Entiendes?

Hi chaps. I’m in a great big massive quandary. The Guardian have asked me to help out (albeit in a very minor capacity) with their liveblog and I think I should probably do it.

HOWEVER, I also rather desperately want to do my own liveblog.

I know, it’s like Sophie’s Choice! What do I do? What do I DO???!

One idea was to late-liveblog it (as I did with the Junior Apprentice final) after 10pm tomorrow evening. I know its not quite the same, but I’ll still be coming to it with fresh eyes as the task the Graun have me doing won’t leave me much time to actually watch t’Apprentice the first time round.

If you think that’s a cop out (or cheating), speak now or forever hold thy peace.

I am so sorry for the late reply Your Ribenasty – early mornings and late nights (work, I’m afraid) have temporarily robbed me of surfing time — I simply didn’t know about your dilemma until I looked at my personal email just now. Did you do the Grauniad thang?

I got home in time to catch it part way through on Wednesday, and immediately identified (no great skill involved) Dan as a massive tool — okay everybody, I want you to look at me when I’m talking.

The young abrasive guy (Stuart, is it?) reminds me of Buddy Pine, aka Syndrome — the baddy from The Incredibles.

Tell me you’ve written a piece on Episode 1.

  3. Brennig says:

Recognise your problem. Is the Guardian gig a one-off or for the whole series?

    • ladyribenaberet says:

Think they’ll want me to keep doing the comment-box management. Which is fine- I’m happy to lateblog it instead – if you’re happy to read a not-liveblog, that is.

  4. Tim says:

A liveblog – whether it’s your own or the Grauniad – would be great entertainment, and I’d certainly read it. In the meantime, here’s a link to my review of last night’s episode. A promising start to the season, I thought.
